The guzheng is a string instrument, also known as the zither. It can be traced back to 221 BC, and was the most popular in Qin of northwest China. The guzheng was commonly played in court music.
The guzheng is a half-tube of wood with strings stretched across it horizontally and movable bridges. It is played predominantly with the ring hand with the left hand producing vibrato and pitch alterations.
